The creative genius of Imaginigami and volunteers with The Friends of Wake County Guardian ad Litem Program announced plans to break a Guinness Book of World Records this holiday by making the world's largest stocking.
When complete, the stocking will be over 180 feet tall and 110 feet wide. What makes this project so unique is it will be stuffed with toys and gifts for abused and neglected children. The stocking will be on display in Raleigh at the NC State Fairgrounds as part of the Christmas County Fair events in December (2014).
You will not only see it, but have an opportunity to come inside and help fill our stocking with gifts that will be delivered to a child in need through Friends of Wake Guardian ad Litem Program, Carrie Haub, Project Development Director.
Now is the time to get involved with breaking this record by spreading the word on the event and making plans to see the stocking this December at the NC State Fairgrounds. The event ties in with the state's first Christmas County Fair that will include dance and theater groups, snowball zone and much more.
Sponsorship opportunities are available and include VIP tickets!
We had a great meeting with the Carolina Hurricanes and they would like to help us with promoting our event and the gift drive! Babs Wagner, Advisory Board Member for Friends of Wake County Guardian ad Litem Program.
Thank you to the YMCA of the Triangle - the newest group to come on board with promotion support, volunteers and opportunity for a patch to be created.
